In October 2008 we had a draw of the free wedding photography package at Colonial Club Wedding Expo in Cairns. Not knowing who was a winner after few weeks of silence it came to me as a total surprise a message received from Bridget and Luke. They inform me that their wedding day will be not far from Innisfail at Paronella Park. I am going for a wedding on Paronella grounds... Wow! I said... and immediately have started to draw plans of my wedding shoot.
It was beautiful day, perfect bride and hansom groom and wonderful wedding day to work on it. Knowing already place, angles and sun position, outcome was not easy to predict... Queensland Bride Magazine didn't even hesitate to use images from Paronella wedding in February 2010 Tropical Edition. My ideas were tasted again. I had a huge inspiration to go back in time with style of 1920' and 30's - days of glass plates, kaleidoscopes and pin hole cameras. I wanted to create atmosphere of that time frame when castle was full of life with sounds of retro music and films played by Jose Paronella family. Bridget, Luke and their entire bridal party amazingly fast fall into that world.
Few months later after the wedding to my big surprise I heard some echos of our wedding day at Paronella. To my big surprise wedding become quite famous among brides in Cairns. Many people have approached me telling stories about Bridget and her four dresses!!! I smiled with big eyes open. I am not sure how many dresses she had, however I have seen only two... If there were other once I believe this supposed to be a secret for us all. So how did you found this out? I asked and they laughed. In addition to our famous Paronella wedding story in December 2009 we did the trash the dress photo session with all four dresses involved.
